Secret Subject Swap:One month to live...

I am apart of the Secret Subject Swap hosted by Karen over at Baking In A Tornado

I got my subject and I don't know why, but it took me forever to figure out what to write on this.
My prompt is:

If you knew you had one month to live, what would you do?
I was given this subject by the lovely and wonderful ChewyLicisous

I have seen this question asked a lot of times. Almost all answers are the same:
I would adventure out
I would climb Mt. Everest
I would skydive
I would run in the jungle
All those answers are great. Everyone is different, but that's not me. I am afraid of everything. My list would look like this:
Get a tooth pulled
Sleep in complete darkness
Welcome the aliens
Pet a spider
Eat dirt
I would want to enjoy my last days, not be traumatized by them. I don't want to live in fear in my final days. You may laugh at my list, but these are legitmate fears. Especially the dark and aliens. Aliens love darkness and they probe. *shivers*.

So, as you can see, it took me a while lol. I decided that I would live my life like nothing has changed. My husband and my kids keep me entertained. They help keep my mind off anything negative. They are my life. As cheesy as that sounds, its true. I would spend my final days with them. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Besides list A is a little pricey.

  1. I love your list! What a completely different take on this question. And yeah, I've oftened wondered how people all of a sudden have zillions of dollars to do all these crazy things in their final days. Wouldn' be me; I'd be like We can go to McDonalds!

    1. My kids wouldn't argue with McDonald's lol. They love it! I know! Why spend money when you have a family to leave behind? Won't they need it? Lol

  3. Perfect. This post was not only honest and well thought out, but you deliberately DIDN'T go to the same place others would. This may have been a difficult prompt for you, but you owned it.

  5. Omg...it's So true: aliens DO probe. What is up with their probing obssession?

"pet a spider:" horrifying, especially this time of year when they are carrying all their 2 thousand eight-legged freak babies on their backs.

I have to say, though, I cannot sleep if it isn't completely dark. Of course, I can't sleep ever, so that point may be moot.

    1. They need an intervention. Obessing is really bad.
I don't hate spiders and I leave them alone, but they scare me. The legs. Its their legs.
My husband can't sleep without complete darkness either lol.

  6. Oooh! I left a comment earlier; I don't know why it didn't post (Maybe it wasn't approved yet) I didn't want you to think I forgot you! I love the way you went in another direction with your post. Although I'm scared to death of spiders, I can understand the rest. Why not be original? I do love that you'd spend the last days with your family. That might be a common answer, but it's a wonderful one. :)

  7. This is so great!!!! I totally agree with you--I think I would just prefer to spend my time with my family 24/7. If we could afford it, I'd spend a lot of that time with them at Disney World--one of our favorite places Lol! As far as the fears go-I am sooo with you on the darkness and the aliens. Your probe statement made me chuckle! Good job on your prompt!

  8. Yep, I would hang with my family as well. Although I might do it in a mountain cabin in Colorado. Just sayin'.
